Latest fat busting teal like Wu Long tea
What's this? A weight loss tea that doesn't require you to do three hours of exercise a day and cut your calorie intake to hamster-Uke proportions? I had to ask the company three times whether or not it was necessary to cut out wheat, Fat, carbs/sugar/ food. The patient reply was no, just eat normally. Eat normally and lose Weight? Are they completely mad?
Wu LongTea fame
Apparently not. Wu 4U, the preferred waist-nipping beverage of Mrs. Beckham, finally arrived on our shores in December 2007. The product is simply 100% Wu LongTea - which is something in betwvcn green and black tea. Apparently, it contains a high level of 'polyphenols' , which are she main weight-loss-causing agent. Added to this are 'flavanoids' which are believed to have a role in activating the enzymes in the body to break down body fat and are also supposed to increase your metabolism. Finally, the icing on the no-fat, sugar-free cake, the tea suppresses your appetite whilst moderating your blood sugar level, controlling those afternoon munch attack slumps and giving you clearer and healthier skin.
Wu LongTea official works
I noticed that these claims have not been evaluated bv the FDA (US Food and Drug Administration), which made me wary. Would it work? I set myself the challenge of' two mocks, three cups a day. And with mug in hand, I began.
For those of you deciding to start Wu tea on a camping trip: don't. lt is not a laxative as such, and perhaps it was she unusual quantities of liquid I was imbibing, but 1 did have to visit the 1oo a fair amount. The taste is quite pleasant, a sort of punchier green tea, and the effects were almost instantaneous: it cut my cravings for food immediately.
The amount of Wu tea I was drinking meant I consumed less coffee, which made me a little sleepier on the first day, but after three days l was dehnitely more bright-eyed. I'm not sure how much it affected my skin; l'd had a manic week a fess: days before I started and so my skin was unnaturally dull and tired. It certainly looked better, but then I was getting more sleep.
CONCLUSION
The best thing about the regime was that it really wasn't hard to fit into my day; I merely swapped a couple of coffees for a Wu tea infusion, making me feel very virtuous next to my double-shot café latte colleagues.
The day of reckoning came too creeks later. I got on she scales. I shut my eyes, prayed for some results, and looked dowm at my feet. 3lbs gone. Without doing anything. And I had eaten some three-course restaurant meals! The verdict? Why not? Wu tea did suppress my appetite, made me feel more chirpy and can only do good things to the skin. A great addition to any weight loss battle, I say thumbs up.
