White Golden Retrievers
Many Golden Retriever puppies will get training and food from their mother until advancing to the age of seven weeks. Once they get to the age of 3 weeks, they should be fed with puppy food, which can be done by a soak and mix into a warm grubby compound.
Food for the Golden retriever
Mixing the food together will make it resemble the food they get from their mummy, and they will learn quickly how their food tastes and how they should eat it.Once you bring your puppy home, you should make sure you use the same food that he has become accustomed to. Breeders will use specific food, and it’s up to you to check that he gets the dog food he has come to know.
The stomach of a puppy golden retriever is very soft, and they can be very receptive to any changes in their food.
When you first bring your new Golden Retriever puppy home, he or she may not have an immediate appetite to start with. Being in a new home can be tough for the puppy, which is why you have no need to force him to eat. The puppy will also realize that he doesn’t have competitionat the dog food bowl, as he is away from his litter.
Golden Retriever immediately eating
You shouldn’t worry if he doesn’t immediately eat, as it will take him some time. After allowing the puppy to have a nap, you should take him outdoors and let him relieve himself, then take him indoors for something to eat. You should also plan feedings through the day, such as the morning, middle of the day, then at night. Once you have organised feedings, you should make sure that you stick to this plan so that your puppy will get conditioned to it.
When the las evening feed comes around it doesn't necessarily have to happen, you can use your discretion. You don't always have to feed the golden retriever at the end of the day. You should always try to feed your puppy at least a half an hour before you head to bed, so that you will be able to take him outside after eating.
If you time it just right every night, you can feed your Golden, take him out to use the bathroom, and still have adequate amount of time to get ready for a good nights sleep. At night, when you sleep, you should put down newspaper in thearea that your Golden retriever is familiar with so he can use the bathroom if he cannot get you to take him out.
Golden Retriever starting to eat
For the first couple of weeks the golden retriever will only eat small food. After eight weeks of growth, he should be on dry food which you should add a small bit of warm water to. The best way to feed is to keep adding a small bit of warm water to the food, and let the pup eat until he is finished.
If you follow the plan through feeding, your Golden retriever is now going to be eating properly.Keep in mind that you should never rush him, or alter anything about the way he is eating. Golden Retrievers will eat their share, although it will take them a bit of time to start the proper eating habits. As the baby golden retriever gets older, his belly will grow and he will begin to eat more.
No more water in the Golden retrievers food once he is grown. Golden Retrievers are a no questions asked unique breed, a breed that is not shy to eat a good meal - and thirsts for attention. If you stick to your plan when your puppy is little - he will be a good eater as he gets older.
