Accuracy is an important part of being a good proofreader, so doublechecking a spellchecker is also in your best interest. Sometimes a spellchecker, will tell you that a word has been spelt wrong when in actual fact it is correct. In such cases it is your job to make sure the correct spelling is left in the document.
