• Salt: This is the best homemade remedy one can ever find for getting rid of toothaches. You can use this by adding a pinch of salt in a glass of water. Gargle and rinse your mouth with this solution. This should be repeated at least thrice a day till you feel that the pain has reduced. You can also place a bit of salt on the tooth that is aching for immediate relief.

• Garlic: Garlic is always known for its medicinal properties. It was used as an antibiotic in earlier days. It can be used by placing a crushed clove / garlic oil on the tooth or teeth that are aching. If you are using cloves, make sure that you remove it after sometime to avoid your gum tissues from getting burnt.

• Pepper: Mix a pinch of pepper powder and a quarter teaspoon of salt and apply this to the affected tooth. This helps to prevent dental cavities, foul breath, bleeding gums and toothaches. Mixing pepper powder and clove oil and applying on cavities helps to soothe toothaches too.

However, these homemade remedies are a temporary way to get rid of your toothache until professional help is available. Nothing is better than going for a proper professional dental check-up to avoid dental problems later on.
