Are Ready to Register a Web Domain Name?
It time for you to register a domain, remember this is an important step, so needs to be done well. If you are not used to the process of buying a domain you may be tempted to buy things that you don't need when purchasing one.
Popular domain companies are GoDaddy, com and namecheap.com will have the domain you need. You will have to be careful when buying and avoid any unnecessary upgrades they may want to sell in the process.
The big domains will give you the impression that you need things you really don't need. They have a very advanced system which has been researched to make them money, so they can manipulate first time buyers of domains easily. This is something you should watch for.
So here is what you need to do when you getting a domain.
Only get a domain that lasts you for one year except in a case you know it’s a very good domain. You can also purchase more than one year if you want a good discount.
Most domain companies will have the domain purchase set up for two years by default. This is sometimes missed by unsuspecting first time buyers, so be aware. Make sure you activate the drop down and change it if you only want one year.
If you really want to be the sole own of the domain you can buy the .net and .org versions too. This is often better than getting a domain name for two years. You also ne to check the auto renew status and uncheck it, so you are not billed automatically when the domain expires, unless you want to be.
