Water aerobics
Water aerobics might be something that you would not have thought about. Being naturally bouyant, water is a superb medium for workouts, especially if impact on the knee or ankle joints, for instance, is part of the problem.
Hydrotherapy has a long history of helping to sooth pains and to get fit, indeed back to ancient Egyptian times. Many top athletes use water exercises as part of their fitness routine. Basically, water aerobics will not only help you to get really fit and healthy, but there are many other benefits to exercising in water.
Water sports
For kids, water sports are adventurous and fun filled. But safety has to be given first priority. All kids should compulsorily wear life jackets, even if kids know how to swim. All boats and rafts should also carry extra life jackets, whistle and lifebuoys.
Water sports need to be accompanies by an adult who must know how to swim, preferable accompanied by an attentive lifeguard. He should also know what to do during times of emergency and A B Cs of giving first aid. Water sports should always be carried out, when the climate is pleasant. If the climate is sunny, do apply sun screen cream to protect yourself from radiations.
Chemicals in the water
Chemicals are typically added to water at treatment plants. These include chlorine and fluorine. It is known that these chemicals kill many or most of the bacteria and viruses that may be found in ground water. But many question what effect chlorine and fluorine might have on human health. The thought is that chlorine may react with substances in the water that might have a negative effect on the human system. Here again water filtration might be in order.
Salt water pools
Salt water pool systems use a generator to produce chlorine (hydrochloric acid) from salt through an electric current process called electrolysis. Salt water pool systems save you from having to purchase chlorine every so often and take a chance on exposing your body to the harsh concentrated chlorine. You have to purchase salt instead. Other than that, salt water pool systems still result in using chlorine as a disinfectant to kill bacteria, algae, and viruses in your pool water.
CONCLUSION
Water has so many uses not just drinking. When drinking water there are some factors that you can think of above. Water also has more playful uses such as for a swimming pool and also water aerobics.
