Virus Protection for Macs
The Mac users were relatively immune to viruses in the past. But now, there has been a dramatic change. It is also very essential for a Mac user to have a protection against the common viruses available today. A Mac computer can also be attacked just like a Windows operated computer. Viruses are more and more effective in Mac users, just as much as those who use the Windows operating systems.
Because, the Mac is becoming a very popular computer, this is making it a target for computer hackers. Macs are no longer resigned to computer geeks. In 2006, the first virus discovered on a Mac, was found in a message, it was called "OSX/Leap-A". You should also be aware, that malware and spyware are also affecting Macs too. Spyware is bad because it is able to collect the user’s personal information.
A piece of code, which commonly causes problem to your computer, is called a Trojan. It allows software to be installed on your computer, using a backdoor method. Normally viruses that are able to store your passwords are called Trojans.
When you computer, becomes infected by a virus it will usually affect more than just one file on your computer. It will attach itself to different files on a computer and cause damage. The problem with viruses is that they are not all detectable. Getting antivirus software is the best way to protect you against any attacks.
