Video game testing sounds fun, doesn't it? Those that do play and test games know that it's an excellent job and in many cases, a great career choice. It's important to note, that yes, having a career as a video game tester can make for a fun and exciting job.

At the same time, it's important to note that this is also a real job, with real money making opportunities. Although this job does require hard work, there are many people that "compete" for positions like this within the video game industry. Because let's face it, who wouldn't love to play games for a living?

Video games have been around since 1970's, and it is only recently that the violence in video games has been brought to notice. Though the ill effects of video games were seen earlier, it was not so much about the violence than other issues.

Video games have been designed and developed with violence, with the aim of games to cause pain or death. Do these games have violence? Yes!! But the degree of violence was less compared to games we play today, and had less effect on the player psychologically.

Buying video games

It used to be that the only place you could buy DVDs, PC games, and video games was at a movie rental store, for instance Blockbuster Video. But as the demand increased, more retail stores began carrying these items and thus charging higher "in store" prices.

A way to save money when you buy DVDs, video games, and PC games is by buying them used. It is more cost effective to purchase them used instead of brand new. One last idea is to swap or trade your DVDs, pc games, and or video games. You can find a place to swap your movies with other people who want to swap or trade.

That is a 28% increase in sales from 2006! Software consoles sold 153.9 million alone that adds to a handsome $6.6 billion in sales. While it is an option to enjoy selling tangible items on eBay, with an Internet mall or just out of the sell of your local flea market, the video games industry should keep growing every single year in records.
