How to Open a BPI Savings Account in Philippines
A leading bank that can be found in the Philippines is called BPI for short, or the Bank of the Philippines Islands. This bank is very up-to-date and has good online banking protocol. When you open an account with them, you will be able to bank online and transfer your money as you see fit. There are a number of accounts that you can open which include savings account in BPI, BPI Family Savings Bank or BPI Direct.
The procedure of opening a BPI Savings Account
You need a number of different things, when you are opening a BPI Savings Account.
One of the first things you need to do, is to go to the BPI branch you want to open an account in, with the documents below:
You need to have two photo IDs, these will need to have your name and your picture. Two photocopies of your IDs will be needed. A list of the id's that are acceptable:
Passport, Driver license, Professional Regulations Commission ID, National Bureau of Investigation clearance, Police clearance, Postal ID, Voter ID, Government Service and Insurance System e-Card, Social Security System card, Philhealth card, Senior Citizen Card, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration ID and Alien Registration Card if you are foreigner.
To confirm your address, you will need a recent statement of a bill, such as a electric bill, Water Bill, credit card bill, or your mobile phone bill.
Your latest picture ID is also required, you will need the original and a photocopy.
Once you enter the BPI bank branch that you want to open an account in, you have to go to the new accounts desk. When you speak to the customer representative, you just have to tell them you want a new account. They will give you all the information and forms that you need to fill out.
To open a savings account, you will need to give them your deposit. Once your forms have been filled, and verified, after 3 to 5 working days. You can then get your ATM card together with your passbook.
