There are a number of influences that impact on setting the selling price of a product in addition to the cost and competition.

So you want to get rich selling information products? The great news is that it does not require much capital to get started - anyone can get started in this business for less than a hundred dollars. But the "bad" news is, there is SOME work involved! You might not like it, but you're going to have to work for your success. There's no two ways about it.

Sales person selling

Inexperienced salespeople will often forget this and be less successful than they could be. Often in an attempt to sell a product or service, a salesperson will try to dazzle a customer with all of the features held by what they're selling. "This television has state of the art pixel mapping and a 10000:1 contrast ratio." A statement like this might leave the prospective buyer thinking, "That sounds impressive, but so what?" The salesperson's statement fails to link the television's features to its benefits.

CONCLUSION

What is your unique selling proposition? This is also known as your USP and describes exactly what you do and how it is different from what anyone else does. Most business people have never spent the time to think about this. When you do work on this it will virtually eliminate your competition.
