Introduction to scarves

Scarves are the must-have stylish fashion accessory for this fall and winter season. Everywhere you look, everyone will be wearing a scarf! These beautiful women's accessories are the thing to wrap around your neck. They're not just warm when the snow is falling, but they look great, too.

Patterned scarves

The patterned scarf. You may only need one or two of these, depending on what's in your closet. If a lot of your professional clothes are patterned, don't own or wear too many. It can appear too busy. If your clothes are solid colors (or even a very thin pinstripe) you can opt to wear a patterned scarf. One fantastic looking match is if you are wearing a dark green shirt, a light green jacket, then add a dark green silk scarf that matches your shirt but has a pattern containing another color (red, blue, or yellow could look great).

Business scarves

For a corporate event, consider a white silk scarf to go with your party dress. That way, you may not even have to wear a coat: your dress and silk scarf will look great together. You can choose to keep your scarf on, or take it off during the event and you'll be in season no matter what. Not sure what color to get? Purple and pumpkin are two hot colors this season...replacing black and red. While you don't want to follow fashion fads, some fashion trends can be enjoyed by following them with your accessories. It's cheaper than buying a new wardrobe!

Tips to buying scarves

Find scarfs that go well with more than one outfit. One way to do this is to find a patterned scarf that has a few colors in it, picking up the color of one outfit AND the other in the same scarf! Or, find two or three patterned scarves that each pick up the color of the outfit. However, that's not all you'll want. You'll also want to find designer scarves that are vivid colors that draw out the color of your eyes or hair.

CONCLUSION

When dressing, decide from the number of ways that you can wear these designer scarves. You can tie them like a tie around your neck with one (or both) ends hanging down the front. You can wrap the scarf a couple times around your neck and tie them ends into a knot to the side. Or you can even use the scarf like a head wrap or head band to keep your hair out of your eyes.
