One of the main things that stops people from dieting is the motivation, many people lack motivation to stay committed to a specific diet. Getting rid of excess weight can be very hard if you do not have the right support system arounnd to help keep you motivated and on track. There are a number of different ways that you can help keep yourself motivated when losing weight, such as joining a weight-loss group or finding a friend who is willing to lose weight with you.

You could make a bet
It is a fact that when somebody tells you that you can't do something, this is a great source of motivation. A good way to motivate yourself when losing weight is to make some type of bet about how much you are about to lose and when you are going to lose it. This type of bet will help you stay motivated when eating and exercising during your weight loss program.
Eat things that you like
A major reason why a lot of people are unable to follow through on their diet, is because of the foods that they are eating. When dieting, to lose weight it is not necessary to get rid of all the foods from your diet which you enjoy. Having foods to eat which you like will help you to remain motivated.
These few tips can be put into practice immediately, it is up to you to follow through.
