Should I Practice Private or Public or Accounting?
A Bachelor’s degree in accountancy is one of the most popular courses undertaken at college. The vast majority of those who pick this subject do so because of the wide scope of availability in terms of your job prospects for the future and a high paying salary. There are two categories for career opportunities in this course, and these are private and public accounting.
A professional who has worked for a number of clients and worked for a particular firm is referred to as a Public Accountant. These types of accounting firms will have hundreds of accountants on the payroll, because their services are offered on a one-person operation to an organisation or company. Tax and auditing are two areas that a Public Accountant is likely to end up working in. the responsibilities of an auditor is to carefully audit the business transactions and financial records of a client.
All records that have been reported by the specific companies are ensured by the auditor that all of their documentation meets the national accounting standards. Professionals, who work in the area of tax, also provide a similar service to an auditor, but in a more specialised scope. A professional who’s tasked with handling taxes will ensure that the tax records of the client has been properly documented and follow all government taxing polices. Another responsibility of an accountant that specialises in tax is to minimise any tax liability of the client.
A private accountant on the other hand tends to be more concerned with internal accounting. Internal accounting can be described as the company’s accounting functions.
