Introduction to playstation

The Playstation 3 console did pretty well last year during the holiday season with 491 thousand video game consoles sold in December, 2006, according to the NDP Group statistics. About 1.4 million Playstation 2 consoles were also sold during that same month, which shows how popular its predecessor was prior to its release.

Sales of both Playstation 2 and Playstation 3 began to decline soon after that though, with only 82 thousand Playstation 3 units sold during April of 2007 and only 194 thousand Playstation 2 units sold. However, the number of sales has increased in recent months with 139 thousand Playstation 3 consoles sold in July of 2007 and 131 thousand sold in August, and 279 thousand and 202 thousand for Playstation 2 during those months.

People and Playstation

Today, majority of the people prefer playing video games for recreation than going for movies or watching television. As a result, a whole gamut of gaming devices have found a way in to the market, each more advanced than the other. Sony's Playstation 2 or PS2 is one of the revolutionary gaming devices which offer amazing gaming opportunities. PS2 is a superb creation of Sony which was released in the year 2000. PS2 is a wonderful gaming device which can be connected to the television and the gamers can play a variety of games with the help of special discs.

Playing games like 'Grand Theft Auto' and other playstation games on PSP is quite enjoying. The 'Grand theft Auto' series is a very popular game among the playstation games aficionados. Though the game is not very adventurous, it is quite interactive. In each version the gamer is given the power to control a particular character who is only a normal citizen of the city. The play reveals the gradual development of the character who becomes a gangster later.

CONCLUSION

I admit that video games are entertaining. However, can you spend your entire time with your playstation 2 game system? The trick of giving up video games is not to get sucked in ever. You’d better explore the real world outside. I mean the world that is beyond your playstation 2 game system. The choice is yours, what's it gonna be playstation or the movies!
