Nigerian okra soup

Nigerians enjoy a wide and varied diet – often including foods which are only available locally. This traditional recipe for Okra (or Okro, as it is called in some part of Nigeria) is one that can be created anywhere in the world, as it uses ingredients that can be found in any local store.

The word “okra” comes from Africa and means "lady's fingers" in Igbo, one of the languages spoken in Nigeria. Although Okra originated from Africa, it is now available around the world. Some people consider Okra alone is too gooey, but this tasty recipe makes good use of it’s properties.

Nigerian 419 scam

Those concerned with the myriad online scams that seem to pop up with regularity would do well to note the existence of the common letter fraud known as the Nigerian Letter Fraud or the 419 Fraud. Named for section 419 of the Nigerian criminal code and also referred to as Advance Fee Fraud (AFF), 419 combines impersonation fraud with an advance fee scam and can be received via snail mail, fax, or email.

The letter generally offers the recipient a percentage of a large sum of money in return for the recipient’s permission to “assist” in the transfer of the sum through their own bank account and lend money to the “cause” of the sender. This may sound like nothing but a scam to most (and it is), but it has fooled countless people into giving up money and personal information.

Nigeria jobs

Nigeria has about 140 million people. The population is made up of a good number of the healthy working population. This working population is mainly young people who are skilled labor, semi-skilled labor, or unskilled labor. Most of these young people leave school without being employed for years.

They are not unemployed because they can’t work but simply because there are no job opportunities where they can fit in themselves.

Nigeria corruption

Every society has its own problems. Nigeria as a society has problems too. Some of the problems in Nigeria are bribery and corruption. The problem seems to have eaten so deep into the fabrics of the society that virtually everybody around the globe believes that Nigeria is arguably one of the most corrupt countries on earth.

It’s quite controversial and disputable but the fact remains that in every lie there is an element of truth. Nigeria is a country on its own with many unique features and happenings because of diverse cultures, tribes, people and so on that make up the country.

CONCLUSION

Bribery and corruption can only be dealt with in Nigeria when nobody is ready to offer bribe and nobody is ready to take bribe because if there is no giver there will certainly no be a receiver.
