My Betta Fish Is Not Eating

The Betta fish is a very common one, if you are a beginner when it comes to buying fish, this is probably one that you want to look out for. They are also known as Siamese fighting fish. The reason for this is that if you put two of these fish in the same tank, there is likely to be a fight. It doesn't stop there, the fight will usually lead to one of the fish dying.

So, that being said it is not a good idea to have two Betta fish in the bowl together. The good thing about this pet is that it is low maintenance to take care of. This is good for anybody that doesn't have a huge amount of time for maintenance.

When you have bought your Betta fish, there are things you will need to do once you get it home. The first thing you need to do is understand how it lives, this will ensure that you are able to spot any problems which may occur. Taking note of the fishes typical behaviour patterns is a great way to spot any problems. You will know when it is not feeling okay, and also you were able to notice if the bowl is dirty and needs changing.

When you get a Betta fish it is up to you to choose a bowl for it that is big enough. A small bowl may cause problems, such as it bumping into the sides and tearing it fins or scales. You will have to make sure that you have enough surface area, this will ensure that the oxygen levels are high enough for the fish.
