Mattress sales are big business. Over 37 Million new mattresses are sold each year, and smaller, specialty mattress manufactures and imports have been taking away a large share of the Big three sales (Serta, Sealy, Simmons).With this new law, many smaller companies will be forced out of business.

Foam Mattresses

Sealy mattresses have been a top rated product for many years and the company is the world's largest manufacturer of mattresses. The company manufactures mattresses in the mid- to high-end price bracket. As you might expect from the world's largest manufacturer, Sealy make all types from the Sealy Posturepedic - an orthopedically designed inner-spring mattress - to the Sealy SpringFree - a 100% latex mattress.

Sealy didn't lead the way in the use of viscoelastic foam but has now brought out its own version, called the Sealy TrueForm. Like other viscoelastic mattresses the Sealy model is multilayered using a high-density foam core (not memory foam) with a top layer of memory foam. Sealy claim that the inner-core of high-density foam provides the support whilst the top layer of memory foam provides both support and comfort.

Mattress for a baby

You want to choose a mattress that is firm. Not only will your baby sleep more soundly on a firm mattress (although possibly counterintuitive), but your baby will also be safer. A softer mattress can be the cause of suffocation and can certainly be a safety hazard. If its too soft, the babies mouth and nose could become engulfed in the fabric.

Foam mattress disadvantages

Although some manufacturers claim that the memory foam is good for everyone, it is not entirely true. First of all, some people just never have their body fit to the memory foam mattress. Secondly, in some cases, the foam used may not be genuine in order to sell it at a lower price.

CONCLUSION

When people think of cheap mattresses, they think of something that is of poor quality and uncomfortable to sleep on. That does not have to be the case. A number of manufacturers produce comfortable and supportive mattresses in a variety of models at affordable prices.
