If you’re going on holiday or if you’re going to be working in malaria areas most travel companies and Doctors will advise what sort of precaution and prevention you will need. Some of preventive drugs can have side affects but it will be certainly worth the risk rather than catching Malaria, and the most frightening thing for most people is that it can take a week before any Malaria symptoms can be detected.

The bites of the common British species of mosquito (Culex pipiens) cause little more than irritation and swelling. In many tropical countries, the Middle East and Southern Asia, species of mosquito in the genus Anopheles transmit the disease malaria. It is estimated that about 280 million people suffer from malaria and over 2 million or more die each year.

Malaria is a disease caused by a parasite. The parasite is often transmitted to the body through mosquito bites. Once you have malaria, it is time to rock and roll, but not in a good way. The disease presents symptoms including the chills, high fever, shakes, and a flu like feeling. If not treated, it may be fatal. It is estimated that 300 to 500 million cases occur each year. Approximately 1 million people die from the disease each year as well. In short, it is a common problem and something to take seriously if you are going to be traveling to certain areas.

Malaria is an absolute killer. The devastation caused by malaria is so outlandish that most people cannot even grasp the numbers. Between 300 and 500 MILLION people are infected with it each and every year. Of this number, between 1.5 and 2.5 million will die from the disease. Most of these fatalities will be children. Roughly 126,000 American soldiers were killed in World War I, a period of four years. For the same time period, malaria will kill between 6 and 10 million people.

CONCLUSION

All around the world, malaria can be a very serious problem.-especially in areas where mosquitoes are plentiful, since they are one of the main sources of passing the disease on. An estimated 700,000 people die each year from the debilitating disease, so this is at the utmost urgency.
