In today's job market in serious competition to get to interview stage. After filling out applications and handing out your resume, and interview is the only way of telling that your endeavours have been beneficial. Once you have landed at interview this is cause for celebration. Once celebration has ended, though it is time to look at your interview strategy. If you have never thought about this, now is the time being prepared to your interview, automatically give you an edge over your competition, that you need.
There are many things that you can do before you go to interview, but here are couple to you to think about.
Investigating the company before, turning up at the interview
It is always good practice, to have some understanding about the company which you will be working for. There are a number of different publications and media sources which you can refer to to get this information. You should keep in mind though that this information may give you a biased picture about a company. Another way to get information is to call anybody that may be able to help you. If you can find a person that has had first-hand contact with the company this is great.
Always look like you are part of the company
It's one thing to be prepared, for what you are about to say, but it is another thing to come dressed in a way that will help you fit in at the company. There are loads of companies that will want you to come to interview dressed in a suit, even if all other employees are wearing casual clothing. This is something that you should keep in mind.
Considering these two pieces of advice will give you a fighting chance of landing your dream job.
