iPods tv 's

iPods are fantastic, aren't they? The ability to watch videos, listen to music, view photographs and not have to go scrabbling through your CD collection or photo albums is an absolute delight - especially when mauling one's way across theTube network or trying to pass a dull hour.

However (though this is a betrayal of my 'small is beautiful' perspective on life), the 'pods' are just too small for some occasions. Beyond sharing a headset when seated together in the back of a car, the opportunities for group experience with an iPod are limited.

Well, that is not a problem anymore. No longer will we suffer the torments of raising ourselves from the couch or the agonies of locating 'that' video or DVD. For relief is at hand. lt would help at this point if you could imagine some Hollywood-trailer-type dramatic music, as l am genuinely so excited about this device I feel it needs a little drama. Incorporating the best features of an iPod, cinema and concert hall, the Loewe Connect multimedia television is theTV's meteoric reconquest of the home entertainment sphere.

Combining ice-crisp High Definition images with storage for your film, MP3 and picture files, as well as the ability to input photos from digital camera or external facilities, it in essence incorporates all the capabilities which make the iPod so prized. What sets the Loewe Connect apart, however, is how you are presented wish these.

With the choice of a massive 32, 37 or 42" screen, as well as a range of standing options such as floor and table mounts, you start to get a feel for how grand an experience She product provides. Start to, but a few more things have to be mentioned - such as the ability to pause and record live television with the integrated hard disc feature, while elegant convex side panels, neat wire management and the range of sleek glossy colours (high gloss black, white or chrome silver) bring a certain something to the room before it is even turned on.

After that, it can only become more impressive - even when functioning as aTV, the massive size of the screen allows any films or programmes displayed on it to feel as though one is actually at the cinema. You wouldn't want to watch Star Wars on a monitor the size of your mobile's, would you?

The television rightly dominates this month's technology section (and not just because of its size). Being able to feel quite literally that you are in me~lias res for such events as the Last Night of the Proms sums up the grandeur of the experience offered by this entertainment system.
