The Symptoms and Signs of Hypertension

The symptoms and signs of high blood pressure, or hypertension include readings for the pressure of the blood which are consistently above 140/90. When the readings for your blood pressure are generally between 120-139/80-89 pre-hypertension is present. Although it doesn’t mean you are currently hypertensive, it can be used as an indicator to infer that some time in the future you may suffer from high blood pressure.

For those who are pre-hypertensive or hypertensive, your doctor will suggest you make a number of changes to your style of living, in order for you to lower it. You will be told that you should change your eating habits and try to consume foods that are naturally healthy for your body, as well as exercise more, if you don’t already do so.

Although it’s likely that it may sound rather fun or something that’s pleasing to your ears, it’s a life or death situation that is being discussed. Silent killer is the name used to describe high blood pressure. Because you do not feel like anything is wrong you with, you may be tempted to just ignore the symptoms and signs of high blood pressure.

This can be a fatal mistake for you. If you ignore it, leaving it untreated, it can lead to heart failure, strokes, death, aneurysms and heart attacks. It’s a health issue that you should be very serious about.

Some of the many symptoms associated with hypertension are:

1. Being constantly fatigued
2. Headaches
3. Nosebleeds
4. Blurry vision
5. Pains in your chest
6. Ringing sound in your ears
7. A heartbeat that is irregular
8. Heart failure

If you are currently experiencing any of these symptoms and signs of hypertension, then it’s advisable that you talk to your doctor. Make sure you do it, as you don’t want to be too late. You doctor will perform the necessary tests and then get you on some kind of treatment to halt this deathly disease.
