How Many Types of Malware

Malware, is a combination of things, malicious software is basically what it is. Malware is created by people who want to do harm to your computer.

You can find five different types of malware available:

Contagious software

This is usually a computer virus, or a worm. This is where the price will spread throughout computer, by attaching itself to different software. It will also see our vulnerable areas of the computer to attack.

Hidden malware files

This is where malware is installed on your computer to monitor certain activities. This can also be called a Trojan. Again, this type of virus can spread to other parts of the computer.

Malware to make profit

This is malware, which has been created to increase your expenses. If you are operating a dial-up Internet connections this can re route your connection and increase your telephone bill.

Exploiting of malware

This type of malware will attack vulnerable elements of the computer. There are normally created, to test security on computers, but are components to harmful worms as well.

Phony or Hoax Viruses

This is the virus, which will alert you with a message which is untrue, such as your computer has been infected with a virus when actually it hasn't. The plan is to get you to take some action which may further infect your computer.
