Hot Air Balloon
Hot Air Ballooning is very popular nowadays, with clubs and ballooning companies offering rides and even instruction for wannabe pilots. However, the pastime is not new on the scene, in fact the very first hot air balloon rose from the ground in 1783. In France, the Montgolfier brothers were the early developers, sending up tethered balloons with no passengers, then experimenting with first geese and then a dog, and finally mustering the courage for two men to try it.
Dynamics of a Hot air Balloon
If hot air balloons are taken apart, you would notice that there are three major sections or parts that comprise this vehicle. The basket, which is also referred to sometimes as the gondola, is found at the bottom part of the balloon; this is where the passengers ride. They come in a variety of sizes and shapes as well as designs. There are big baskets that are used for public transportation, and there are small baskets as well that could only take in one to three people at a maximum.

Hot Air Balloon questions
What is the balloon made of? Most of the "envelope" on many hot-air balloons is made from nylon. Nylon is airtight, lightweight and strong, and most importantly, it withstands heat well without melting.
Why is the basket always made of wicker? Wicker is lightweight, strong, and flexible. When a balloon lands after a flight, it can sometimes hit the ground with a bit of a bump. The flexible wicker absorbs most of the shock of the landing.
CONCLUSION
Invented in France in 1783, hot air balloons are the oldest successful flight machines made by mankind. They range from very basic balloons to their advanced cousins, the airship or zeppelin. Ballooning is very different from other forms of flight. The experience is very quiet, gives an amazing view, and the movement is very gentle.
