High Speed Internet Access Growth

We have seen a rapid increase in the amount of people that access the internet over the past few years. In the past, the only way to access the internet was through a dial up connection. This basically entailed hooking your computer up to your phone line and connecting to the internet through it. Those who used it already know how slow it was and the many frustrating issues that surrounding using this method to access the internet. When you were out travelling, the only way that you could access the internet on your laptop was through a dialup connection. For those who used mobile internet, they were restricted to 56 Kbps connections.

Later we transitioned to being able to access the internet through companies when we were hooked up to a box; we didn’t need a phone line for this option. The internet speeds got faster and the amount of options began to widen.

We soon moved onto wireless internet. You could move around your entire office and home and still access the internet. This lead to people being able to access many other wireless internet providers depending on their location and the area they lived in.

With these improvements came the ability for people to be able to access wireless internet through their mobile computing devices and mobile phones. The speed of the internet forever increased along with these options. For the past few years we have witnessed constant improvements in the speed of the internet which has boosted our level of productivity and what we are able to download and how long it takes to download it. As a result, we have witnessed the speed of the internet increase from 384 Kbps to 2.0 Mbps, which is a 35 speed increase.
