Why Get a High Speed Internet Connection?

I checked over my sister’s laptop in order to determine exactly what was causing it to operate so slowly, this was an incident that happened why I was babysitting my nephew. From the tests that I run, I was able to determine that the system was okay, besides not having a high speed internet connection. This system was using a dialup connection to access the internet, which is significantly slower. I started getting a little concerned about whether or not I would be able to complete the task that I set out to do on the laptop, because of the rather slow connection it had.

The assignment that I was working on, involved a lot of research, which meant that I didn’t have the time to wait long periods of time for a website to load up, only to find out that the information on the site is not useful. I was unaware of high beneficial it was to have a high speed internet connection until I was using my sister’s system. I don’t have the patience, which is one of the main reasons why I currently use a high speed internet connection on my system.

I find that I’m constantly clicking on things as sites are loading up. This only compounds the issue. Having a slower connection can be very frustrating. I spend so much time thinking about my next step, before completing the first. By the time the site has finished loading up, I’m already thinking about other things, having a faster connection means that I won’t always get ahead of myself. Another issue that I had with the dialup connection was that I was unable to use the phone while I was online. A very annoying experience, since high speed internet connections do not interfere with the phone.
