Growing Roses Problems
It is popular knowledge that taking care of roses can be trick business. To all expert gardeners this is very evident. The good thing about caring for roses on the other hand is the beauty that they display when they grow. Without roses are the most beautiful flowers that can be found.
Here are some tips you can use to care for your roses
The first thing is that you should start pruning your rose at the beginning of spring. Or at the least when other plants start to bud, because the buds will grow into branches.
The second thing you can do is soak your shears that you will be pruning with in some water that has bleach init. This a good way to protect against diseases and insects.
The third thing you can do is to cut all branches that are dead or damaged. Then you can cut the healthy branches but leave five. The branches should grow to the thickness of a pencil.
Fourth thing that can be done is to cut the bushes, by as much as one third or one half. This can vary depending on how tall you want them. If you cut them properly this will provide better air circulation and shape.
Fifth thing to remember is to have sharp shears when you are pruning. And be careful when you are pruning the climbing roses. There is a tendency for branches to overlap, so be careful not to prune the wrong one.
