Considering your options when buying a cheap domain name is essential. Finding a cheaply priced domain can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on what they permit you to do with the domain.

Hosting definitely has to be considered when you are getting a domain. A host is basically where the domain name you chose will go. So it is important that you have a good reliable host.

When getting a cheap domain you will have to weigh up the good with the bad. If it is really cheap it may have some conditions; which may include using only their name server, if you want to host your domain on another host remember you need to access the domain and point it to that hosts name server.

If you were to get a domain from one company and you wanted to put in on another companies hosting services, this would be impossible if you were unable to change name server, to have the host you wanted you would need this access.

Getting your domain with a cheap company may prohibit you from using your own host, which would mean you would have to use the hosting provided by the company that you bought your domain name from.
