Go to eBay Pulse. eBay Pulse is a tool that eBay provides and is a fast way to find out what items are hot on eBay. eBay Pulse will show you the top ten searches for every category within eBay.

Why is this important? Well before you can sell many items on eBay you need to know what items are in demand. When people search on eBay for a product then this is an indication as to how much demand there is for that item.

Considerations before selling on ebay

Before deciding to sell any products on eBay, you need to make sure you select a product that is in demand. You don't want to try to sell a product that has very little demand. Instead, you want a product that people are searching for and then meet their needs by supplying the product at a fair price.

To find out which products people are searching for on eBay, I use eBay pulse. This tool on eBay's site allows you to see the top searches within a given category on eBay. Therefore, if you want to sell video DVD's then you will want to find out which DVD's are in demand.
