Introduction to dogs

Dogs are mans best friends, so it seems. A little sexist if you ask me women like dogs just as much! There are many dog lovers in the world, this means there is a lot things to consider when thinking about dogs.

Misconceptions about dog bones

Pet owners have been feeding their dogs both raw and cooked bones, thinking that they are providing a natural form of nutrition for their pets. In reality, they are compromising the dog's health and unintentionally risking the animal's life.

Dogs are natural and instinctive scavengers. They might not be fed bones by their guardian, but they can find them in trash cans, on unattended plates, and when they find a dead animal, such as a bird or rat.

This is very dangerous and must be prevented. One of the more common dangers of bone consumption is bone splinters. Bones from small birds, such as starlings, or medium-sized birds, such as chickens, as well as fish and other meats, can easily splinter when chewed and disperse inside an unsuspecting dog, leading to ripping and tearing of internal organs, and, possibly, death.

Are Dogs mind readers?

Ever sensed you dog can read your mind? Studies have shown incredible results indicating dos with telepathic capabilities. In Russia, a team of scientist conducted 1,278 telepathic experiments with dogs, of which 696 were successful. Most of the test involved testing the dog’s ability to read non-verbal and non-physical commands. The scientists believe the odds of that happening by chance would be similar to correctly guessing the correct roulette wheel number over fifty percent of the time…basically a billion to one odds.

Dog years

Want to know your dog’s age in human years?” A dog is full grown at twelve months, which would be eighteen in human terms (therefore, when your dog turns one, it turns eighteen in human years). From this point on, to calculate the true age of your dog, figure that every year after that is the equivalent of five human years.

CONCLUSION

Training for aggressive dogs starts when you bring your puppy in the door. It requires great patience and consistency on your part. Dog owners who do not take on this responsibility will often neglect their dogs or punish them unnecessarily at the first signs of aggression. Knowing how to help an aggressive dog will help you to keep your patience and control when training your dog.
