Detect Spyware
If your computer, start to run slowly, or becomes bogged down, chances are you have a spyware problem. Usually your computer will begin to behave is strangely when this happens.
There are some symptoms that may suggest you have spyware on your computer.
Computer slowing down
One of the easiest ways to detect spyware is, if the computer suddenly becomes slower. Because spyware will usually use a lot of your computer in order to track your activities, this will slow down your computer. If your computer crashes a lot then you may have spyware.
Problems e-mailing
If you notice that e-mail has been sent without your knowledge, this can be a sign that you have spam ware on your computer. This type of software will send you a lot of unwanted mail. It may even be able to steal your e-mail address book
Added shortcuts
Some spyware will add shortcuts onto your desktop. They can also change your homepage; select one that you haven't chosen. In extreme cases, the spyware will stop you from getting back to your desired homepage.
Getting lots of pop-up ads
If you are experiencing, a high influx of pop-up ads, for adult sites in particular you may have spyware on your computer.
Funny search results
Some spyware can even change the results in your search pages, so that you can go where they want you to go.
An additional toolbar
Getting additional toolbars installed on your computer, and particularly Internet explorer is also a sign that you may have spyware on your computer.
Spyware is now probably more harmful than viruses, because of the information that you can take from your computer. To prevent it, you should install quality spyware removal software.
