Being a proofreader can be a tricky profession. If you enjoy reading people's work and correcting it, then this is definitely the right profession for you. Even when using a spot check, you can always assume that everything it says is spelt wrong, is not wrong. In some cases a spellchecker will highlight words as being misspelled and actually they are fine. In such a case, it is up to you to doublecheck that would just in case.
