Dark ages overview
Let’s do the math here. The marriage of civil and ecclesiastical power is without dispute the singular cause of the horrors of the dark ages. When the authority of the state and the church are wed, people suffer. The equation goes like this. If I am a Muslim, Christian, Catholic or Jew I may practice my religion without fear of persecution, reprisal or rejection. I still must obey civil law but the judicial body won’t besiege me with charges for the beliefs I hold about God and faith.
A thought on the Dark ages
One of the most loved fairy tales of all time "Hansel and Gretel" shares its general outline with some of the most endearing and disturbing fairytales in existence. For this motif shows both the potential cruelty of parents, the darkness of a world without food and the ability of children to work together to overcome the impossible. The world of the Dark Ages is different from what we often portray it, people did not wish for greatness, adventure, and love people wished for food.
Dark Ages and the Mazda
If there are the Dark Ages in the journey through history, there also are some gloomy years and periods in the automobile world. The late 1980s and 1990s was considered to be the Dark Ages for most sports coupes. And yet, beneath the gloom, there was one that stood out and had brought the line on forward. The Mazda MX3 was the chosen one. Amidst the dark sales and gloomy market for sports coupes, the Mazda MX3 continued to move forward and reaped in success. Despite the gloomy period, the Mazda MX3 soared and this period became known as its golden years.
CONCLUSION
The beginning of the 18th century was the start of an era better known as the Age Of Enlightenment - a period of time in history that is characterized by a global shift in thinking. Essentially The Age Of Enlightenment took mankind out of the 'dark ages' where the state and the church had a monopoly on 'knowledge' and they controlled what people were allowed to believe.
What took mankind out of the dark ages and into 'the light' was knowledge and learning to look past dogma and convention. Hence the name The Age Of Enlightenment because it refers to the idea of casting a light unto what was previously dark.
