Any company whether it’s in banking, supplying, manufacturing or is customer orientated aims to meet the needs and wants of its customers. The objective of the business is to outdo its competitors. They may be competing with a specific product, as well as the provision of a service; when customers go out and purchase a product, they aspect a number of factors to feature in the price, such as delivery, quality, support and service. So whose objective is it to serve the customer? Today, you will find that there are two types of help executives, the specific and the general kind. General support services are provided for the sake of customer satisfaction, retaining a consumer for future sales, building of relationships and much more. Where specific-based support is able installing a device or product, troubleshooting, technical guidance, regularly service, warranty coverage etc. This help service is provided either by the company itself or it is outsourced.

The objective of the helpdesk provider is to have a sufficient number of executives to meet the needs and demands of the customer. These executives are trained by the company itself. Their knowledge is constantly updated, including their information on current technology, so that they are constantly prepared to deal with what the customer requires.

The helpdesk service process begins with the training, and the sharing of knowledge amongst the members of the service. They should be familiar with the customers, the service methods and the product. They should have enough infrastructures for setting up arrangements, communication, tools, and access to the internet etc. for the customer support services. Each team will be given a supervisor, that way the quality of delivery can be constantly checked and monitored. Their responsibility is to keep a record of client feedback, record of services and a number of other issues. The record compiled will help them improve their services for the future.
