When running a business, keeping customers happy is a good way of getting more business. A common phrase is a customer is always right. Many people have the wrong understanding about this phrase. Although it is true that you should be courteous, and answer all the needs of the customer there is more to it than this. You also need to know what the customer actually wants, this is the key to success in any business. Once you know what the customer wants instead up to you to treat them the way they want to be treated, so that they will keep on coming back.
Keeping the customers aware
If you stay in contact with customers, this is a great way to build rapport. Keeping your customers up-to-date on all the things which happen within your business will lead to better customer relations. If your business is based on impulse selling it is probably a must, when it comes to keep an up-to-date. If your business has a different selling model, you may choose a different way to follow up with your customers, this can be by way of a general questionnaire about how satisfied they are with their purchase.
Get feedback from your customers
A good way to keep your business directed towards your customers, is to set up focus groups, which involve people that actually bought things from you. You can invite the customers to the group which other most loyal to you. Having a focus group should be a regular thing, at the meeting you can get the customers to express ideas, and give feedback about your customer services.
