Construction in clay
Basement construction in clay soil poses several problems. Expansive soil can cause cracking in the foundation, basement walls and floor if proper precautions aren't taken. Natural movement caused by expansive clay soils also require special precautions to be taken when installing basement plumbing. Pipes can burst if plumbing is too rigid. Floating walls keep the walls and floors from being damaged as the home moves with the expansion of clay soil.

Polymer clay
Polymer clay is so versatile you can even make your own ceiling fan or light pulls with it. Finding the right color or style is often hard to do, so why not make your own out of polymer clay and get exactly what you want. You can take scrap polymer clay and add millefiori cane slices or rubber stamped designs, you can add glitter, ink, powdered pigments and so much more to achieve exactly what you want.
All you have to do is find the right length of chain for your project and embed a few links into the clay by poking a hole at the top of a ball of clay with a bamboo skewer or knitting needle. Fire in your home oven at the recommended temperature of the brand of polymer clay you use (under 300 degrees F).
Clay as medicine
Eating clay to induce colon cleansing may seem like a somewhat primitive thought, but specific natural clay called "bentonite clay" and a few other medicinal clays helps you do just that! This form of clay has various medicinal qualities and has been used the world over for several centuries. Primitive tribes made use of this natural medicinal clay to overcome several conditions related to toxicity. It has also been used in the field of alternative medicine as a simple yet effective internal cleansing agent to prevent and cure various ailments.
CONCLUSION
The first evidence of the production of bricks dates back to the days of the Babylonians, more than 5000 years ago. At first they were used in their unbaked form, simply left to dry in the sun and it was only in 2500 BC that they began to be baked.
Stone wasn’t always available and when it was, the crafting process was difficult and time consuming. Clay on the other hand, was perfectly easy to mix and mould and, once dry, was a valid support for early constructions.
