Carousel explained

A carousel (or carrousel) is an amusement ride consisting of a rotating platform with seats for passengers. The "seats" are traditionally in the form of wooden horses or animals, which are often moved mechanically up and down to simulate galloping. This leads to one of this machines 's alternative names, the galloper. Other popular names are merry-go-round, roundabout and flying horses. Usually, circus music is looped while the rides spins.

Keith and carousels

During his childhood carousels and merry-go-rounds fascinated Keith. He also had a love of animals. This would later result in his carvings of carousel animals and his extensive study of the different kinds of carousels and the various animals on them. Yet, Keith didn’t have just one passion. At an early age he developed a love of transportation. His interest in airplanes called for a lot of research, and gradually he became an expert on the planes used in World War I and World War II.

Carousel fans and center

There are also fans with colorful blades. You can find them in light colored blades or dark colored blades with white frames. A carousel fan would be perfect for any little girl's room. This fan features a carousel center with circling spot lights and a 52" blade span. Another good design for girls is the Annabell by the Hunter Ceiling Fan Company. The Annabell features pink and white 44" blades and has a pink and white light fixture.

CONCLUSION

Carousels are a very popular ride at the amusement parks. The antique carousel was built in 1926, the same year that the zoo was founded, and is a colorful ride that has been kept in pristine condition. You are sure to enjoy it. After riding the carousel you can go for a ride on the zoo's tram. The tram will take you on a 15 minute loop around the zoo and will only cost you $1 to ride. It is well worth the small cost.
