How much weight you can lose is dependant on your ability to reduce the amount of calories you eat over a long period of time. It doesn’t matter if you eat a little more today and a little less tomorrow. For weight loss, you need to think in terms of weeks and months rather than hours and days.

The only thing that matters is how many days you can eat less calories than you need to maintain your current weight vs how many days that you eat enough or more calories than you need to maintain your current weight.

A food's fat content is important, but when it comes to weight loss, total calories are more important. So many of the low fat products on the market aren't calorie reduced. For example, 2 tablespoon of reduced-fat peanut butter have the same number of calories as the regular kind. And replacing a tablespoon of butter on a bagel with 2 tablespoons of jelly eliminates the fat but doesn't change the number of calories. Let's explore some calorie-cutting tricks. When you shifting calories, you will be triggering a metabolic response in your body that induces rapid weight loss. You are not reducing your food intake, nor are you cutting out any carbohydrates, fats, or sugars from your diet.
