Bulimia Explained

If you look at bulimia pictures, you will notice that the bulimic subjects tends to look scrawny and thin. After eating too much and then purging, there is no nutrition, sustenance or nourishment left in the body to provide the person with energy and strength.

Initially, the effects of bulimia are not too severe. However, having bulimia over a long period of time results in a number of health complications. Some bulimics always get the urge to throw up after each meal even when they are not full. Others cannot lead normal lives because they have become too weak to perform day-to-day functions. Still others acquire different ailments because of the lack of nourishment. A few bulimics experience a rawness in the throat due to too much induced vomiting that later leads to bleeding.

Bulimia nervosa

Bulimia nervosa is a disease that causes the victim to eat huge amounts of food and then vomit it up in an attempt to stop any weight gain. Bulemia wreaks havoc on the body and the mind. The victims usually have low self esteem and a very bad self image, causing them to feel unattractive and undesirable.

Bulemia nervosa causes people to take drastic measures in order to appear attractive. By vomiting up the large amount of food consumed, the person is trying to rid the body of calories and avoid weight gain. Needless to say, bulimia nervosa is a horrible disease that causes massive damage to the body.

Serious Bulimia

Bulimia is not a diet plan. Bulimia is not an activity that some people choose to join in on. Bulimia is a serious addiction problem that can destroy your life and your physical and mental health. Those who have bulimia have an abnormal dependency on the feeling they get from controlling their own body to the point of going against one of the strongest primal urges we have.

Bulimia nervosa is a serious eating disorder that not only causes issues with our eating habits but this disorder can cause stressful anxiety and depression issues. These issues are not only caused by this condition, but they can be the cause of the condition.

CONCLUSION

Scientific research recently has shown that people are born with an inherited predisposition towards developing bulimia, particularly where susceptibility to addiction is in the genes. It reveals that bulimics inherit a gene responsible for the addiction from their ancestors. This addiction can appear in different forms: alcohol addiction, drug addiction, food addiction, nicotine and the like. That’s why many bulimics also suffer from addictions to other substances also, making recovery difficult.
