Adware is basically software that can be uploaded to your computer, to show adverts when you surf. It can also steal your details if it gets onto your computer as spyware.

Most of the time adware will get on your computer when you are downloading free software, these programs may harbour hidden spyware. You may become the victim of identity theft when downloading off the internet if you are not careful. Most adware is harmless and is for advertising, but can still clog up and slow down your computer.

Understanding what adware is can now help you know why it’s worth blocking it. Removing adware is not really that difficult if you get the right removal programs. When you buy your computer it is a good idea to find out if it has security to fight adware. Sometimes it has and you don't know.

Stopping adware from getting on your computer is always better than letting it on. If you are unable to stop adware being installed on your computer you can always find a good program to remove it, so there is no need to worry.
