Banjo lessons
My first banjo lesson didn't go so well, actually it was a nightmare. Well, I suppose it wasn't technically my first banjo lesson. Actually, I had been taking online banjo lessons for a good while, and honestly thought that I knew what I was doing.
I found a website with videos of some dude plucking and strumming which you could be downloaded, and tabs which you could pick along to to your lttle hearts content. I had my first banjo lesson online months ago, and although I was a bit of a slacker about the whole thing, mailing it in by only learning those songs and techniques that interested me, and blowing off the rest, still, I thought that I had started to get somewhere.
Banjo Testimony
If everyone played the banjo the world would be a much happier place. If they played the banjo well that is. I mean, it already has a reputation in some circles of being just a rude, clangy sounding mess. By the way, this is not my take on it.
I have been a huge admirer of banjo players my whole life. Oddly enough, nobody that I knew in my life has been a banjo player or even liked it enough to give it much of a mention. I also thought that it must be the hardest instrument in the world to learn. I can play the guitar but I really never gave playing the banjo a second thought because I was sure that it was beyond my grasp.
Are Banjo Lessons hard?
Banjo lessons are a lot tougher than I thought. I’d been taking these online banjo lessons for months now – you know, downloading videos of this guy strumming his banjo and trying to follow along, stroking that banjo to my heart’s content – but when my first actual, person-to-person banjo lesson came, I felt like I was all thumbs. It was a disaster.
Learning Banjo Later
Learning something new as an adult can help keep the brain active. This has been proven by doctors. Learning something fun like the banjo can really keep life interesting as we age. Below are some questions that are frequently ask by adults that want to start learning the banjo.
CONCLUSION
Online, they can also find maps, hours, prices, and even sound clips and informational videos.
