You should consider a 5 point harness, as these are best, just as in a car seat. This will prevent the child sliding all over the place.

You can either get a wind up swing or a battery powered swing. The wind up swings will cost you less to run. But the down side is that they can be quite noisy. Battery powered swings are usually easier to use and have more swing speeds.
