Using Autoresponders
Knowing how to use your auto responder is one of the most important things that you need to learn how to do. Basically, your website and autoresponder are extremely important and if you are not using professional versions of these I would go as far to say that you are wasting your time marketing your business on the internet.
Autoresponder using it
Up to a point you may be happy just using your e-mail client i.e. Outlook or Outlook Express to handle a small list of up to maybe a thousand or so subscribers. When you reach the point where you have more subscribers than this, you will definitely require an Autoresponder.
Autoresponders come in many shapes and forms, the three most popular are; Autoresponder that you install onto your Web Server. Autoresponder software that you pay monthly for such as Aweber or Get Response. Free Autoresponder.
Auto responder explained
The basic components of an auto responder are the auto responder itself, the subscribers' list, form generator, message scheduler and Global broadcaster.
With an auto responder, you can replace the manual work of sending emails to your subscribers. Imagine sending a thank you email to every subscriber that subscribes to your newsletter. If you have thousands of them, it will be a tedious task. With an auto responder, you will just need to write once, set the appropriate interval to send it out (e.g. immediately, 1 day, 2 days and etc) and you get yourself an automated system.
CONCLUSION
An autoresponder is like a secretary who takes care of all the customer service issues your company may be handling with the clients. However, this time around this 'secretary' is needed only when you are online to ease the stress of always being in front of your computer to handle customer services issues.
