Visiting Athens
Usually people who visit Athens are more impressed with the antiquities and the famous monuments like the Acropolis and the Parthenon and don't get me wrong I am impressed too... how couldn't I be, but there are more things to Athens than people think so, theatres, cinemas, shopping malls and the Concert Hall of Athens which is not too far from the center of town and boats state-of-the-art technology and acoustics.
Athens History
Athens is city with stunning archeological sites, colorful neighbors, overcrowding and smog like you’ve never seen it. For many travelers, the general impression is one of a poetic chaos. Roads are packed, taxi drivers are nuts and shops seem to spill off the sidewalks and into the middle of roads. Yet, in the middle of this chaos you’ll find peaceful places such as the Acropolis, even though it is packed with tourists.
Athens offerings
Athens has much to offer beyond the Acropolis. Books have been written on the subject. Large books. I’m not going to try to cover them here, but you should try to get over to the Tower of the Winds, where the Whirling Dervishes got their start.
Walking through Athens is like walking through history. They say time travel is impossible, but Athens seems to suggest otherwise.
Fashion in Athens
Undoubtedly the most sophisticated fashion district of Athens, Kolonaki, with its designer boutiques and sophisticated galleries, is always buzzing.
Kolonaki attracts trendy youth, Kolonakiotes (residents who consider themselves citizens of their neighborhood first and of Athens second, a phenomenon not exclusive to Kolonaki), intellectuals, politicians and various glitterati and their entourages.
CONCLUSION
If someone has problems with jetlag when traveling to Greece the best way to deal with this is when you arrive in Athens Greece. Try not to sleep in the middle of the day or odd hours in your Athen's rooms apartments or hotels . Sleep the regular hours of the country you are visiting and you will adjust after a day or so and enjoy your vacation.
