Aspirin good or bad?
In 1995 the Harvard Health Letter reported that "routine aspirin use saves lives." Citing several worldwide studies, which have been repeated many times since then, researchers concluded: "Nearly everyone who has ever had a heart attack or stroke, suffers from angina, or has undergone coronary artery bypass surgery should take one-half to one aspirin tablet daily unless they are allergic to the drug."
Other researchers claim benefits of taking aspirin daily for men over 50 who are at risk for a heart attack and for women at risk as well.
Problems with Aspirin use
Increased aspirin use, however can increase the risk of bleeding and can lead to stomach upset in some people. In order to avoid stomach upset, some people on aspirin therapy are taking the enteric form; the coated aspirin that is supposed to save sensitive stomachs from irritation by dissolving in the small intestine instead of the stomach where most prescription medications are dissolved.
Aspirin sensitivity
Contrary to what your folks usually think, and from what you may have heard while growing up, aspirin sensitivity is not an allergy. Though, the effects and symptoms of the case can be somehow depicting and similar to those of allergies, aspirin sensitivity is not and will never be a true allergy.
Though, aspirin sensitivity may result in adverse and similar to allergy type of reactions in affected persons.Usually, reported cases of aspirin sensitivity are linked to those who contract moderate to almost severe form of asthma and also to chronic sinusitis.
Aspirin positives
Aspirin is great for your skin. Basic function of it is being an analgesic and antipyretic, but more importantly, as far as skin care, it is its anti-inflammatory power. This is important when it comes to treatment of acne and other inflammation processes on the skin.
Aspirin contains acetyl-salicylic acid AKA Beta Hydroxy Acid, widely used in cosmetics as it is able to slough off skin cells thus preventing the clogging of pores.

Aspirin and colon cancer
A recent study showed that taking aspirin could in fact reduce your risk of getting colon cancer. Although the study only involved data taking from a sampling of women, it appears that aspirin may possibly prevent colon cancer, or so they say? Aspirin is over 100-years old and appears to cure lots of things, yet many were shocked to learn of this latest finding, still other completely doubt the study. The study showed that people who already had polyps maybe able to prevent the onset of colon cancer thru regular use of aspirin. The researchers went on to extrapolate that it could help those without polyps from getting one in the first place.
CONCLUSION
Patients who have heart disease should stop drinking alcohol and keep taking aspirin if their doctor prescribes aspirin as part of their treatment plan for their heart condition. The American Heart Association also warns people not to stop taking aspirin without talking to your doctor first.
