Argentina

Located in South America, Argentina has an area of almost 3.8 million square kilometers, which makes it the second largest country in South America. Because Argentina is located in the Southern Hemisphere, its winter occurs in June and its summer in December allowing tourists from northern nations to enjoy the beach during Christmas break or ski in the Andes during the summer.

One of Argentina’s main characteristics is the contrast between its fantastic Iguazu falls and rainforests in the north, vast eastern plains, impressive Andes mountains to the west and the magnificent glaciers in Patagonia in the southern part of the country.

Argentina eating

Argentina food is that food which is ethnically associated with the people of Argentina. If you are looking for Argentina food, you are looking for food and recipes that were invented by the inhabitants of Argentina. If you are in that country, you should have no problem at all. If away, you can still find it. Beef holds sway in Argentina food.

Argentines consume beef in large quantities, with some people eating it more than once every day. A preferred manner of eating beef is the asado or barbecue. The highly flavored European effect is still apparent as the cooking expressions criollo (creole) and Porteño entail. Grilled meat is a staple food, with steak and beef ribs readily available.

Juan Diaz de Solis initially discovered Argentina in 1516. Argentina has progressed gradually under Spanish colonial rule. Buenos Aires was established in 1580. The country had a flourishing cattle industry way back in 1600. Invasion by British forces was effectively thwarted in 1806–1807. After Napoleon occupied Spain in1808, the Argentineans founded their own government in 1810. On July 9, 1816, Argentina formally pronounced its independence.

Argentina culture

The mixed culture is reflected in several facets of modern Argentina, mainly in the literature, lifestyle, architecture and music. One of the chief cultural markers of Argentina the tango dance that originated around 100 years ago. This beautiful, romantic dance appears very complex, and it has been highlighted in many movies attaining high recognition all over the world. The music played in the clubs is also a mix of European and local Argentine melodies and strong African beats.

CONCLUSION

While Argentina has unlimited beauty, it also has unlimited corruption. The massive corruption finally lead to an economic crisis at the turn of the century. With the currency devalued and jobs hard to find, Argentina was a decidedly dangerous place for travelers. At one point, the country was going through Presidents faster than I go through coffee.
