Adopt a golden retriever

Nearly all Golden Retriever puppies will nourish from their mother until growing to the age of seven weeks. When they get to three weeks, they should be fed with puppy food, which needs you to soak and mix into a warm grubby compound.

When compounding the food it will look like the food they get from their mother, and they will learn quickly how their food tastes and how they should eat it., you should make sure to use the same food that he has become accustomed to. Breeders will use specific food, and it’s up to you to make it so that he gets the food he has come to be used to.

The stomach of a puppy golden retriever is very soft, and they can be very responsive to any changes in their food.

At first when you bring your new Golden Retriever puppy home, he or she may require some time before they want to eat. Being in a new home can be a heavy burden for the puppy, which is why you need not force him to eat. The puppy will also realize that he doesn’t have competitionat the dog food bowl, as he is away from his litter.

Don't Rush the Golden Retriever

Eating may not be the first thing on the dogs mind at first, but don't panic, as it will take him some time.Once your puppy has slept through the night, you should take him outdoors and let him relieve himself, when he is relieved you can bring him in for food. You should also plan food throughout the day, such as the morning, middle of the day, then at night. Once you have set up feedings, you should make sure that you don't change the planning so that your puppy will get familiar to it.

Remember that the evening feed doesn't always have to take place. You should always endeavor to feed your puppy at least a half an hour before you head to bed, so that you have the opportunity to take him outside after eating.

Planning your feeding right, you can feed your Golden, take him out to use the bathroom, and still have tons of time to get ready for snoozing. At night, when you sleep, you should have puppy pads or newspapers in anarea that your Golden retriever is familiar withso he can use the bathroom if he really cannot get you to take him out.

May take a while for the Golden Retriever to eat

For the first couple of weeks the golden retriever will only eat small food. After 56 days, he should be on dry food with a bit of warm water added. The best way to feed is to keep adding a little bit of warm water to the food, and let the golden retriever puppy eat until he is finished.

If you keep to the schedule for feeding, your Golden retriever will start to eat regular portions.Keep in mind that you should never rush him, or alter anything about the way his diet is going. Golden Retrievers will eat their share, although it will take them a bit of time to develop the proper eating habits. As the puppy gets older, his belly will grow and he will begin to eat more.

No more water in the Golden retrievers food once he is grown. Golden Retrievers are a truly unique breed, a breed that is not shy to eat a good meal - and loves attention. If you stick to your plan when your puppy is little - he will be a healthier eater as he gets older.
