There are so many vocational schools out there that offer finance and accounting training to students in order to aid them in developing the skills that they will require to maintain and operate good financial practices in the business world. Students will learn about all the functions of a bookkeeper, as well as a number of skills related to critical thinking, financial management and computer functions.

Training in finance and accounting will usually lead to either an associate degree or certification; there is also some schools which offer non-credit courses for those who are looking for personal fulfilment. In addition to students learning about finance, they will also learn about accounting, how computers are used in accounting today, and business subjects that are related to accounting. After graduation these individuals will be suitable for entry into accounting, business, banking, insurance, finance and real estate.

Vocational school finance and accounting training may include statements, balance sheets, ledgers, journals, verification and classification, computation, bank processes and tax preparation, software and hard, accounts receivable,, accounts payable, payroll, debt, cash flow, inventory management and much more. Students will learn about the principles of business finance, bookkeeping, fundamentals of spreadsheets and personal finance.
