Acquiring an Online Degree in Accounting
Acquiring a degree in accounting online opens up a number of opportunities and job security that the vast majority of other degrees do not do for you. There are many surveys conducted in the past that show that professionals with accounting degrees have better job prospects. From statistics compiled by the Bureau of Labour, it shows that opportunities for people who have graduated with a business related degree will grow by 18% by the year 2016. If you are interested in having a good career, and like the idea of working with clients, helping them creating their budgets and spending, then you should consider undertaking an accounting degree online.
There are currently three different types of certified accountants: CIA (Certified Internal Auditor), CMA (Certified Management Account) and CPA (Certified Public Accountant). A CPA is able to perform a number of services for the general public such as litigation, auditing, tax planning and much more. A CIA may undertake auditing work for employers; a CMA may choose to work in the public or for companies. The situation in each state varies, so it’s very important that you obtain at least an associate degree in order to begin working as a CPA. Statistics show that peoples job prospects are at their highest for students who graduate with a Masters of Bachelors degree.
You can obtain your degree online, which makes the whole process much more cost and time effective for both the parent and student. The average salary for someone who graduates with an accounting degree is said to be within the range of $50k.
